Just want your opinion on something. I have been participating in a design website called crowdspring, where designers compete to land the winning design for a customer. Recently I entered in one where the buyer wanted a girl at a salon and spa, getting her nails done. There wasn't too much direction or details described, so I came up with this:
The buyer gave me a rating of 4 out of 5. So, I thought that was pretty good! Well, then my only competition in this design race (this girl has posted about 5 or 6 different designs, most of them getting 1s and 2s from the buyer, one with a 4) gets a little jealous and designs this:
Is it just me, or does this look EXTREMELY similar to mine? I mean, the color scheme of pink and blue, the flower accent, the towel (even the shading on the towel) her pose (I mean, look at her hand placement!) the nail polish and files, the bowl with the left foot dipped in, the floating pink gift certificate, the name in pink at the bottom. Everything screams copyright. I sent her a message. We will see. It is funny though, because when submitting your design you have to check a box saying "I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept." Anyway, compared to her earlier designs, these look nothing like her previous style:

So, you can check out the update HERE. Let me know if I have a fighting chance!
Is it just me...

Um, yeah...that's a bad copy of yours with none of the sparkle and fun.
Also...this looks like so much fun! I want to make friends with this website!
You go get em, looks like you've "inspired" some competition
What a little stinkin' copycat. I would be pretty embarrassed if I was her. I LOVE you design by the way. I love all of them!
Wow, those first ones of hers are scary. I mean, they are all, like, bald or something, and their fingernails are falling off. Weird.
Yes, she totally copied. Lame. It's like she said, "What? That looks like someone doing their OWN nails. Here, I'll fix it." And then passed it off as her own. Crazy girl.
